Les Rollers béninois étaient sur la piste, ce dimanche 16 février 2020 au stade de l’amitié Mathieu Kérékou de Cotonou pour la 40 ème édition du Challenge Cotonou Skating Open (2CS-OPEN). Une édition qui lance la saison 2020 au Bénin. Au finish, les meilleurs ont confirmé leur suprématie. C’est le cas de Mohamed Demba Diallo qui s’impose haut les mains au 1000 mètres sprint Espoir devant Jorys Domanou et au 5000 mètres Espoir à élimination. Victoire aussi de Ignace Houngbo au 1000 mètres devant Chédrack Houessou.
Au terme de la journée, le président de la Fédération béninoise de Roller Sports, Marius Tchibozo s’est réjoui de la performance des athlètes. Il rappelle que l’objectif est de maintenir tous les athlètes qui représentent le Bénin dans les compétitions internationales en jambes afin d’améliorer les performances des athlètes champions d’Afrique et de détecter d’autres talents en Roller de Course, d’offrir un espace d’application d’arbitrage aux juges et au coachs.
