Nommé Conseiller technique du ministre des sports béninois en janvier 2020, Jean-Marc Adjovi-Boco a livré ses premières impressions après quelques rencontres avec les acteurs du sport béninois. Reçu sur Afrique Football Media (AFM), ce mercredi 27 mai 2020, l’ancien capitaine des Ecureuils reste confiant.
« J’ai pris fonction en janvier 2020. Pour donner mon avis objectif sur le sujet, je n’ai pas rencontré suffisamment d’acteurs. Par contre, ceux que j’ai rencontré pour le moment me démontrent que le sport béninois est sur la bonne voie. J’ai rencontré le président de la Fédération béninoise de Basket-ball, qui m’a vraiment impressionné lors d’un match de basket-ball que j’ai suivi à Cotonou. La vision que le président Ismahinl Onifadé a pour le Basket-ball béninois est très pertinente. Je dirai que moi, ma mission est basée surtout autour des classes sportives et des académies. Ce projet me semble extrêmement intéressant pour sortir demain des grands sportifs béninois. Donc, l’avenir est prometteur avec un Chef de l’État qui donne vraiment une place importante au sport, avec une augmentation du budget au ministère des sports. Avec un ministre qui fait vraiment un excellent travail, je crois que l’avenir du sport est sur une bonne voie ».
