Dans ce quatorzième numéro de votre rubrique , benin-sports a choisi de vous parler de la gymnastique qui est l’ensemble des disciplines sportives pratiquées, généralement de manière individuelle mais également par équipes, en compétition ou en loisirs comme la gymnastique artistique, la gymnastique rythmique (GR), la gymnastique acrobatique, la gymnastique aérobic, le trampoline, le tumbling … Le terme peut aussi être appliqué à des formes d’activités différentes dites gymniques, plus ou moins liées à la santé ou à la condition physique des personnes la pratiquant, telles que l’aquagym ou le fitness.
En effet les activités principales de la gymnastique, à savoir la gymnastique artistique et la gymnastique rythmique utilisent le rythme de la musique. La première comprend différents agrées, quatre pour les femmes et six pour les hommes : le sol et le saut qui sont des agrées mixtes, la poutre et les barres asymétriques pour les femmes, le cheval d’arçons, les anneaux, les barres parallèles et la barre fixe pour les hommes. La deuxième discipline, la GR, se pratique avec des engins qui sont au nombre de cinq : le ballon, les massues, la corde, le ruban et le cerceau. Elle présente plusieurs avantages comme l’apport du tonus , la souplesse et l’énergie ,elle travaille toute en douceur le système cardio-vasculaire et la respiration tout en favorisant la relaxation et le bien être .
Rappelons que la gymnastique a pour but au départ ,le développement régulier du corps ,l’accroissement et l’équilibration de toutes les forces de l’organisme et elle comprend l’étude du corps en soi et en vue d’un but physiologique ,esthétique ,athlétique ou médicale
