Le Marathon Be the Best est désormais à Cotonou après les quatre (4) premières éditions réussies Porto-Novo. Evènement sportif internationale organisé par l’Organisation non gouvernementale (Ong) Be the Best dans la capitale du Bénin sera à Cotonou sur demande de la population. Comme d’habitude, ce Marathon rassemblera tous les amoureux de la course à pieds et de la marche une fois l’an, en leur permettant de découvrir et de dépasser leur limite. Comme à Porto-Novo, le Marathon Be the Best de Cotonou qui aura lieu, le dimanche 24 avril 2022 à Cotonou, voudrait séduire beaucoup de touristes-athlètes qui viendront découvrir les richesses culturelles et cultuelles de la ville économique du Bénin. « Beaucoup de demandes sur Cotonou et nous avons décidé de relever ce challenge à ‘occasion de n os 10 ans d’existence » ; a justifié le Coordonnateur général du marathon Be the Best, Ninon Ahoudjinou qui rappelle que cette 1ère édition de Cotonou ambitionne réunir au moins 1000 amoureux de la course à pieds de plusieurs générations et de plusieurs nationalités.
Plusieurs courses sont prévues
Les participants au Marathon Be the Best de Cotonou vont disputer quatre différents parcours, à savoir le marathon sur une distance de 42,195 km, le semi-marathon de 21,1 km, la course libre de 10 km et la marche de 5 km. Il faut noter que les organisateurs ont ajouté une course HandiSport pour les personnes vivants avec un handicap en fauteuil. D’importants lots en numéraire et en nature sont prévus pour les meilleurs compétiteurs, tout comme des enveloppes financières. À un mois de cette compétition, le Président de la Fédération béninoise d’athlétisme, Vérin Dégon n’a pas manqué de remercier les responsables de l’Ong Be the Best pour les efforts consentis dans le domaine de l’athlétisme. « Cet événement va sans doute à n’en point douter permettre de découvrir de nouveaux talents » ; a-t-il dit avant de rassurer de l’accompagnement de sa fédération.
