Après la réunion de son Comité exécutif, le vendredi 1er avril 2022, la Fédération béninoise d’Athlétisme (Fba) a organisé, ce samedi 2 avril 2022 au CEG 1 de Dassa-Zoumè, une compétition de Kids athlétics. C’est une compétition d’Athlétisme pour des jeunes de 11 à 12 ans faite de jeux divers. Six équipes ont pris part à cette compétition. Il s’agit du CEG 1 Dassa-Zoumè (2 équipes), CF Les Collines (2 équipes), Paouignan et Soclogbo.
La compétition s’est déroulée dans huit disciplines. Il y a eu trois concours de sauts (saut en longueur élan réduit, saut mobile et saut en croix). Comme lancer, il y a eu le lancer de javelot évolué, le lancer à genou de médicine ball. Il a eu aussi trois courses : le relais combiné, le relais navette et la course d’endurance.
C’est une sorte d’initiation pour rentrer dans l’athlétisme par rapport à leur catégorie d’âge. Et ces jeux ont été choisis compte tenu de leur âge. L’objectif de cette initiative c’est de faire découvrir l’athlétisme à ces jeunes par les jeux.
