Les acteurs du football béninois sont en Assemblée générale ordinaire depuis la matinée de vendredi 18 septembre 2020 à Grand-Popo. Après la cérémonie officielle d’ouverture présidée par Bonaventure Coffi Codjia, Directeur du sport d’élite, représentant le ministre des sports empêché, les travaux se sont poursuivis.
En effet, plusieurs décisions sont déjà prises notamment l’ouverture de la saison sportive 2020-2021 prévue pour le samedi 30 septembre 2020. Mais avant, il est prévu l’ouverture du système d’enseignement des clubs pour le lundi 21 septembre 2020. Quant au lancement des championnats de Ligue 1 et 2, il est prévu pour dimanche 8 novembre 2020. Par ailleurs, la Ligue 3 sera lancée le jeudi 03 décembre 2020 et les championnats départementaux le samedi 20 décembre 2020.
Le championnat senior dames est annoncé pour être lancé, le mercredi 25 novembre 2020 et le championnat U20 féminin pour le samedi 26 décembre 2020. Pour finir, les championnats scolaires garçons et filles vont démarrer au début des congés de fin d’année. Autre fait majeur, les différents rapports sont validés à l’unanimité des délégués.
