Silencieux depuis le début cette polémique liée à une affaire de prime de qualification à la Can Égypte 2019, le ministère des sports et la Fédération béninoise de football viennent de réagir officiellement. À travers un communiqué conjoint, le ministère et la Fbf donnent une opportunité en Or aux joueurs et aux membres de l’encadrement technique qui estiment n’avoir pas encaissé la prime de qualification. Ces plaignants ont ainsi jusqu’au 23 avril 2020 à 18h pour pour se faire entendre afin que le dossier soit traité une fois pour de bon.
Pour rappel, alors que le ministre des sports, Oswald Homéky déclarait sur une radio de la place que « tous les joueurs ont été payés par virement bancaire avec des états de paiement disponibles », plusieurs joueurs qui n’étaient pas en Egypte pour la Can disent ne pas être de cet avis. Ce communiqué devrait mettre fin à cette vaine cabale qui n’a fait que détourné les acteurs des vrais débats.
