Construit il y a à peine 5 ans, la pelouse de l’Université d’ Abomey Calavi et ses alentours végètent dans une insalubrité totale qui l’amène vers une fin attendue. Constat fait depuis peu, des herbes qui poussent aux alentours de la pelouse comparable à une forêt en devenir. Aussi les habitations aux alentours tentent à en faire de cet espace un dépotoir pour ordures ménagères.
Pire, comme à l’accoutumée dans notre pauvre pays, l’espace érigé pour le sport sert souvent pour diverses festivités. S’installe alors des questionnements : Que deviendra la pelouse synthétique et son alentour dans quelques temps ? Quelles sont mesures prises par les instances dirigeantes compétentes ? Que font les responsables de la Cous (Centre des Oeuvres Universitaire et Sociales ) pour éviter le pire ?
Si la Ligue de football du Bénin est à saluer pour avoir mis une barrière de sécurité, il faut avouer que assez de choses restent à faire. L’entretien de la pelouse et des alentours de l’infrastructure. La Ligue de Football du Bénin ayant réquisitionné le terrain de l’Université de Abomey-Calavi pour les matchs du championnat devrait penser à aider le Cous. Par contre, Cous qui reçoit un forfait des clubs de football qui utilisent l’infrastructure comme terrain d’entraînement doit faire preuve de bonne gestion et bien sauvegarder les acquis.
