À l’issue de cette 4 ème étape du 18ème tour cycliste international du Bénin, Ricardo Sodjèdé du team A du Bénin, 12 ème lors de la précédente étape est monté en puissance. Il termine 10ème à la fin de la course et devient par la même occasion le premier béninois. Grâce à cette performance, le guépard récupère ainsi le maillot de la combativité et celui du meilleur jeune. Le coureur béninois a fait le sprint final étiré d’arriver avec le maillot jaune, le vainqueur de l’étape et le deuxième au classement général. Il est à 44 secondes du marocain Ed-Doghmy Achraf leader actuelle du tour.
