La 6e édition du tournoi de basket-ball dénommé Coupes de La Relève démarré le samedi 30 novembre 2019 sur le terrain du complexe scolaire protestant(Csp) va connaître son épilogue, ce samedi 25 janvier 2020 au Hall des arts, loisirs et sports de Cotonou.
Au total, 6 finales sont prévues. Chez les U12 filles, Espace Bénin sports joue le Complexe scolaire Notre dame des Apôtres à 10 h 30 et chez les U12 garçons, Montaigne va en découdre avec Espace Bénin sport à 15 h 30. Chez les U14 filles, l’École internationale Ufuk va affronter Montaigne à partir de 9 h alors que chez les U14 garçons, Montaigne sera face à espace Bénin Sports à 11 h 30. Chez les U18 filles, le Complexe scolaire Notre dame des Apôtres va faire face à Montaigne à 14 h alors que chez les U18 garçons Montaigne joue Espace Bénin Sports.
Organisée par Espace Bénin Sport, cette compétition a regroupé plusieurs clubs autour de la balle au panier. « Les objectifs de cette compétition sont entre autres : la promotion du basket-ball scolaire, le brassage inter-scolaire et la création d’un cadre de divertissement sain aux jeunes » ; rappelle Alassane Zimé Yérima, président fondateur d’Espace Bénin Sport et promoteur dudit tournoi.
