Alors que la rencontre de la deuxième journée de la Ligue Pro de Basket-ball dans la Conférence Sud, opposant Aspac Bbc à la formation de Aol Pro Bbc a été reportée au dernier moment pour raison de défection des cerceaux du parquet du Hall des arts loisirs et sports, la Fédération béninoise de basketball (Fbbb) n’a pas tardé à réagir. L’instance faîtière du basketball béninois, a procédé au remplacement immédiat du matériel sportif. C’était dans la journée, du jeudi 10 février 2022.
La Fbbb s’est en effet appuyée sur l’important lot de matériel sportif offert par le Comité national olympique et sportif béninois (Cnos-Ben) en date du 08 juillet 2021 pour débloquer la situation. L’appui financier du Cnos-Ben s’élevant à l’époque à hauteur de 3.500.000 Fcfa, avait servi à la Fédération béninoise de basketball, à l’acquisition d’une paire de panier mobile professionnel dotée de cerceau en plessiglass. En attendant donc la réfection du Hals, c’est ce nouveau matériel flambant neuf appartenant formellement à la Fbbb et pesant près de 800 kg qui devait initialement contribuer au développement du 3X3, qui sera finalement mis à disposition des athlètes le reste de la Ligue Pro de Basketball.
