L’émission « Bénin Sports à cœur ouvert » dans son quatorzième numéro recevait Mounirou Daouda, délégué général du Tournoi International des Centres de Formation du Bénin( TIC2f), ce vendredi 29 mai 2020. Plusieurs sujets ont été abordé notamment la 10ème édition du TIC2f initialement prévue du 6 au 12 avril 2020 au Stade René Pleven de Cotonou a été reportée en raison de la pandémie du Coronavirus.
Pensez vous toujours organiser le tournoi Tic2f cette année après le premier rendez-vous manqué en avril dernier ?
Écoutez, je ne vais pas vous mentir. Aujourd’hui, nous sommes tous suspendus à ce problème de virus, Covid-19. Il nous est difficile donc de dire qu’on pourrait organiser la 10e édition du TIC2f en 2020, parce qu’aujourd’hui, on a pas de visibilité sur les mois à venir pour pouvoir prendre une date et si on devrait organiser un évènement, il faudrait penser prendre toutes les dispositions sanitaires qui entrent en ligne de compte. Nous sommes déjà pratiquement au mois de juin. Organiser le TIC2f avant la fin de l’année, il faudrait commencer les préparatifs dès maintenant. Je ne mentirai pas en vous disant que ça serait très difficile d’organiser le TIC2f cette année et je pense plutôt que l’édition 2020 n’aura pas lieu. On risque de la reporter à l’édition 2021 parce que cette pandémie de Covid-19 a mis vraiment le monde entier en difficulté. Nous n’aimerions pas mettre la santé des jeunes joueurs des centres de formation en danger. En même temps, notre priorité est d’avoir la présence des clubs de centres européens et je pense aujourd’hui qu’en ce qui concerne les voyages, les frontières de nombreux pays sont fermées. Au regard de toutes ces difficultés, je pense plutôt qu’on se dirige vers l’organisation de la 10e édition de TIC2f en 2021.
Peut-on retenir donc que l’édition de TIC2f de cette année est annulée ?
Je vous confirme que l’édition 2020 est belle et bien annulée parce qu’il nous serait difficile de l’organiser d’ici la fin de l’année. Vous savez, l’organisation du tournoi dépend éminemment de certains paramètres qui sont les suivants : il faudrait que nos parrains soient présents; il faudrait qu’on ait les clubs en fonction de leur disponibilité et que ceux-ci soient aussi présents pour pouvoir recruter certains jeunes talents. A l’heure actuelle, tous ces paramètres ne permettent pas comme je vous le disais d’organiser le tournoi donc l’édition 2020 du tournoi international des centres de formation du Bénin est bien annulée malheureusement en raison de la pandémie de Covid-19.
