La Fédération béninoise de sport d’entretien est désormais une réalité. Les différentes associations ont tenu du 22 et 23 novembre 2019 à la salle de conférence du stade Mathieu Kérékou l’Assemblée générale constitutive de ladite fédération. Au terme des travaux, un bureau de 17 membres a été mis en place avec à sa tête Soufianou Imorou.
Les délégués des différentes associations opérant au Bénin dans le sport d’entretien se sont retrouvés les vendredi et samedi derniers pour mettre sur pied la Fédération béninoise de sport d’entretien. Après le lancement des travaux le vendredi par le directeur du sport et de la formation sportive du ministère des Sports, Imorou Bouraïma, les travaux ont permis aux délégués d’échanger sur les textes qui vont régir la fédération.
Chacun des délégués a apporté ses amendements et les textes ont été adoptés. Dans la soirée du samedi, ils ont doté cette fédération d’un bureau exécutif de 17 membres. C’est Soufianou Imorou qui dirige ce bureau. Il a été élu par 40 voix pour et 25 contre. Les activités de l’Assemblée Générale Constitutive se sont déroulées sous la supervision du Directeur du sport et des formations sportives et en présence des délégations des associations et clubs de sport venus de tous les départements du Bénin.
Il faut noter que les délégués ont reçu, dans la soirée du samedi, la visite du ministre des Sports Oswald Homéky. Le patron des sports a expliqué sa vision pour cette fédération et les a prodigues des conseils. Pour rappel, le ministère des Sports a accompagné l’idée de la fédération à travers plusieurs actions. Le ministère a recensé toutes les associations et clubs qui opèrent sur le territoire national au niveau de chaque direction départementale. Il a aussi, à travers des rencontres avec les responsables d’association et des communiqués, essayé d’assainir le milieu en interdisant la pratique des activités dans des milieux malsains, dans des milieux qui n’offrent pas de sécurité.
De plus, le ministère a également organisé l’année dernière la formation des encadreurs ou moniteurs sur toute l’étendue du territoire national au niveau des départements et au plan national. Ce sont ces travaux en amont qui ont conduit à la naissance de l’association que dirige Soufiyanou Imorou (Borgou) pour un mandat de quatre ans.
